Laurie Cramer—Laurie Cramer is the Executive Director of the Autism Society of Greater Akron (ASGA). She spearheaded thetransformation of ASGA’s trainings into the SAS framework for people new to autism with the goal of improving interactions an d outcomes for individuals on the autism spectrum and their families. Ms. Cramer has an 18 year old son with moderate to severe autism. Her life experience, along with her professional background of supporting individuals and families living with autism, is woven into the program to convey concrete experiences for learners to apply to their work. Ms. Cramer holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Florida State University and a Master’s Degree in Organizational
Development from George Washington University.

William Lanzinger —Chief Hand Surgeon, Cleveland Clinic Akron General, and the Chairman of the Board for ASGA, is Laurie’s training partner for medically related professionals. Dr. Lanzinger brings to the SAS training a physician’s background and experience of treating patients in both office and urgent care situations. Dr. Lanzinger also has a 12 year old son with mild autism, providing both a personal and professional application. He received his medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University.
From Autism Society of Greater Akron Ms. Cramer and Dr. Lanzinger have together trained almost 1,000 health and medically related professionals. The duo have been deemed the “A team” as the training has grown in popularity and appreciation since it began in 2017.

Criteria for successful completion include attendance at the entire presentation and submission of a
completed evaluation form. Contact Hours will be awarded.

This activity has been submitted to the Ohio Nurses Association for approval to award contact hours. The Ohio Nurses Association is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation (OBN-001-91).

Each entrée includes coffee, Tazo Teas, Iced Tea, Salad, Rolls & Butter, and vanilla mousse.

As a benefit of District membership, Cost to members is $20.
Members attending their first meeting have no cost, but it is necessary to contact the district office for reservation.

Non member nurses should include a $10 program fee as well as the free for the dinner..
